Top 10 Wedding Dress Trends Seen in the Spring 2022 Bridal Fashion Week
For the bride who wants to feature the latest styles and upcoming trends for the season of your wedding, this is for you. Bridal Fashion Week 2021 has highlighted both the traditional and non-traditional looks. As the fashion industry is very ‘forward’ looking, we see brands that focus on the new-age bride, it may be a younger version of the typical age of the bride as we see many younger couples getting engaged and married.
As for trends forecasted for Spring 2022 from Bridal Fashion Week, we see different iterations of the modern ballgown for the bride who wants their princess moment. On the opposite side of the spectrum, a surge of mini dresses is expected to take brides by storm, and also bridal separates (like a separate top and skirt). Feathers, floral designs, and tighter fitting and innovative silhouettes were noticeable throughout the major designers’ work.
Here are the top 10 trends seen from Spring 2022 Bridal Fashion Week Collections.

Florals
April showers bring May flowers as the saying goes. Many designers are featuring floral appliques, or sequined flowers and beading. Every bride can incorporate a little bit of florals in their bridal aesthetic.

Feathers
These are not just any feathers, these are dramatic feathers. This accessory is the perfect opportunity to amp up their look.

Bridal Separates
This is the non-traditional look I was talking about earlier. For the bride does not want to wear a whole dress, separates are the perfect items for the bride who wants to stand out. You could wear a separate top and skirt, or go for an elegant crop top and pants.

Deep V-Necklines
Deep V-necklines were seen in almost every designer collection debuted. This is a huge trend this season

Form Fitting Dresses
Sheer illusion, open backs, skin bearing designs stood out on the runway and made us all ‘wow’. This picture also features a corset bodice!

Puff Sleeves
Royal-esque and Victorian era design aspects are having a comeback, so many brands are offering gowns with sleeves this season.

Thigh-High Slits
If you are not afraid to show some skin, then you will love this trend. This will make a statement and show off your personality on your big day.

Transitional Pieces
For the next couple of years, transitional pieces are forecasted to have a big impact on bridal. This includes bridal capes, overskirts, and removable sleeves. These trends are incorporated into timeless pieces and can enhance any look.

Mini Dresses
For the non-traditional bride, a mini skirt is for you. This trend were front and center of many designers this season and I have a feeling it is here to say. What’s a better way to break it down on the dancefloor than in a mini dress?

Corset Bodices
It’s not just Pnina Tornai that has the innovative corset bodice design. Corsets are making a comeback for the structural element to help brides feel the most beautiful in their gown on their wedding day
