In the beginning of the year, I wanted to do a photoshoot because I never got to take my senior photos. Also, my dad was upset that he didn’t have any print photos of me.

We scheduled a shoot for the first week of January with a woman named Alyssa. She was young, pretty, and had a couple tattoos on her arm. She definitely gave off the vibe to be a photographer which made the experience really fun.  Her studio was in a huge building that hosted multiple studios for small business owners like artist and barbers. It was a contemporary setup with a white backdrop and big bright lights that casted a big spotlight.

I had a blast working with Alyssa, she let me use her speaker to play whatever music I wanted to fit the vibe. By the time the shoot was over, she explained to me how the photos will be processed and edited. I waited about a week for her to send them, checking my emails constantly at the one-week mark.

I was sitting in the library when Alyssa had texted me with the link to my finalized photos. With excitement I reviewed my photos, and I was not disappointed.

About a couple days later, my dad sent me an email from Alyssa’s email list with a promotion of a discount for a photoshoot. I scroll down to see my ow photo being used to promote Alssya’s business. She also added me to the front page of her website.

I’m assuming, she used my photos to get more of a younger audience for her work, and I appreciate her for doing that for herself. I left her a nice review on Facebook.

since WordPress wants to be petty, here a link to her website
