In sales and in today’s world, a lot of people recognize the little things because it matters in the end. I learned that when you are meeting with someone for the first time to do a sales talk, you do not want to initiate the handshake. If you do not know the person and you are meeting them for the first time, initiating a handshake kind of puts the person on edge making them feel like you are trying to make them like you, that will push them farther away. So, if you are meeting someone for the first time do not initiate the handshake unless they do, then it is fine. There is a step by step process when getting to know someone, it is slow but trust the process and soon you’ll be making deals with them.
