This clip shows two scenes from the movie Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison. In this movie a young, provocatively dressed woman is looking to buy proper, conservative clothes to wear to a formal event. She’s asking for help, and the saleswoman instead embarrasses her and makes her leave the store immediately. And she does, until later returning to show the saleswoman her “big mistake.”

As sellers, we all can learn from the saleswoman’s mistake. In this case, the saleswoman works on commission. Little does she know, the young woman has $5,000 to spend in her store but she assumes that because this woman is different she had no money to spend, and she sends her away. Her “big mistake” was her misjudgment and dismissal of this woman.
