When Trudy Cathy White came to talk to us she did a very good job at selling the brand and the history of the brand.  One thing that she was strong at that was obviously a focal point for their brand is the natural human emotion involved with business. She told us about how her father started off with one store and then the tragedy that the family went through that was the second store burning down.  She also talked about her fathers morals when it came to owning the business and how he didn’t want to become places like burger king and McDonalds.  We also got to see the video of her father hanging out with the kindergarten kids and how excited he was to be with them.  These are just a few examples of the many ways in which she made her sales pitch down to earth and emotional.  It is easy to feel disconnected when hearing a sales pitch from a big time person or company, but if you add in the human emotion aspect it feels more real to the customer.  They can empathize and feel connected to it.  This emotion is something that chick fila is always a very good example of in everything they do.  This is what makes that company stand out among the rest.

  1. I completely agree with you. The reason that Trudy Cathy White had such a powerful speech is that she brought in a human aspect from the beginning to the end. it help that chick-fil-a is such a customer focused company for sure but she brought that out in her speech. this helped us all to stay engaged and be invested in the speech.

  2. The empathy component is seriously important! Chick-Fil-A definitely has this mastered, like you mentioned this is a huge part of their brand as a whole.
