Being Concise is Key

Often times in the realm of sales, sellers in any field forget that the people whom they sell to are, people, not robots. I’ll give a made-up example to point out that drawing things out too long can be unbeneficial. Let’s say that John is trying to sell an AC unit to James, John starts out well, but then when he starts to talk about the product, he repeats how his AC unit has a steel frame multiple times, and he is continuously long with his explanations. While James may be super interested, and in love with the AC units, he most likely just cares that 1) He gets a good product and 2) he does not waste time. Often sellers care too much about the first premise, and simply just try to sell the product with a bunch of words, but that is not the way. Humans are not robots, so we can get bored, and rather fast. This makes it so that we value when people are as concise as possible. I say ‘as possible’ because some things need more explanation than others, but most things can be ‘over-explained to the buyer. In summary, sellers of anything must remember that humans are not robots, which should lead them to the conclusion that being as concise as possible ACAP is extremely important.
