In January 2023, I got into a car crash that did $5,000 of total damage to my m550 BMW. I had a solid green arrow and the person who hit me disregarded it and hit the left front of my car. After the crash the police came, and I got questioned along with the other driver. The other driver claimed that I ran a red light, whereas I claimed the exact opposite. The reason why this is related to sales is because I had to sell the truth of what really happened to the cop while remaining calm. One thing that people ought to do in any sales situation remains calm. Even though I knew I was in the right I knew that I had to remain calm, because if I got too excited then I could’ve looked a bit crazy or appear to not appear as valid. Remaining calm is not only for talking to police but for any sales situation. My twin brother was actually in the car with me, and he was very angry at the other driver, constantly I had to tell my brother that he needed to calm down because he kept on telling me that “That other driver is going to pay for all of the damages!” I got very concerned that he was going to be very aggressive with the cop, and although I knew we were in the right, he could still mess it up, so I tried to make sure he remained calm. Moral of the story: Remain calm in every sales situation.

I totally agree that remaining calm is really important. It’s so easy in a stressful situation to lose your head, but that’s something that salespeople can’t do, and probably something they learn from experience would be my guess. I had never thought about how we have to sell the truth though, that’s a really interesting point and one I have to think more about.
I agree that being calm is super important and it directly relates to sales. I wanna know what happened haha
