If you have taken Professor Sweet’s sales for a startup class then you know just how crucial it is to move people. Whether it is traditional or untraditional selling, the art of moving people remains the same and extremely important. When trying to sell it’s important to prioritize the customer. Getting to know them and put the focus on their needs and wants, and why those things are important to them. Understanding why a customer is asking questions not only helps you further answer those questions but also provides so basic understanding. Make sure You listen to your customers and never interrupt. Don’t make it all about the sale itself. When you genuinely care and are upfront with the customer and are completely honest, you can go a long way. Though sales have become a huge part of our everyday lives, it is ok if you are not exactly great at it. Like all skills, learning how to become a good salesperson takes time and effort. All you can do is try your best. Remember, ask questions, always listen, never interrupt, and communicate how you care for them. In every sales situation, it is all about the customer. Have fun and Good Luck! Also if you haven’t taken Sales for a Startup I completely recommend it!

  1. Definitely, this is an extremely important part of sales. Understanding your customer, their needs and pains is a valuable skill to have. Prioritizing the customer and ensuring the whole process of selling is a win for everyone involved is not only the best thing to do, but the right thing to do. Great post!
