Experience is the best teacher when it comes to retaining lessons that can change our lives for the better! When going out to talk to people I went to people all around and to see where the most populated areas are so that I could get as much traffic as possible. I learned from other groups that it does matter who you talk to and instead of going to college students who may not have any money, they went to professors who definitely have the money to pay for a three dollar duck. For me, I was nervous during this whole entire thing because being rejected is something that I’m still getting use to. But I started to realize the uncomfortable feeling that I’m having is something to press into and really move forward with, in a way it is very exciting and good to try something that does make me uncomfortable. There is a rule where instead of selling the product, you want to try and find what will really connect with the person, what is something that will grab their attention? Selling the fight against the breast cancer is something that matters to a lot of people! It was smart by the other groups to do that because it is not about the product, it’s about the customer and their cares and wants.

  1. Sales can be quite a scary thing to do. Just gathering up the courage to leave the classroom can be tough. I think it’s important to remember that we are talking to other human beings sometimes, and that usually they will be polite about refusing an offer. While there are crazy people out there, we can trust that the majority of people are honest folk who we shouldn’t be afraid to talk to.
