What is more important than selling yourself? Interviewing can be a difficult thing to do. You have to make yourself look as best as possible while not coming off over confident. Just like in sales, you want to make the people who are interviewing you to feel relaxed and comfortable. I know in my interviews I always try to make my interview feel like a conversation. It makes the interview go a lot more smoothly. Another thing is that interviewers like people with good people skills. Making sure you make your interviewees feel comfortable is just as important as making the people you interview with know everything about you.
