It is interesting to think of sales in a nonprofit sense- a fundraising angle that is not often considered when dealing with businesses and corporations.  For instance, if Pink claims that we are always selling- why not divert our attentions to selling a cause to benefit those in need.  This is always a tough sell because you are selling the idea of charity- a belief is much more difficult to sell than replacement brake pads for that 07 Honda.  Selling an intangible is difficult specially when people can’t see direct results of their money time and effort.

A good example of this is Nepal with it’s second recent earthquake.  A country like this in a dire state of need could use a couple smart university students to design a marketing program and sell relief effort for the unfortunate people who lost homes, buildings and loved ones.   Social sales is an interesting area of thought.
