For our original content concept, we decided to refresh the add\/drop course page to target new and current GCC students in a fresh way. The intent of our targeted users would be to understand possible class schedules and easily create mock schedules for students contemplating various majors. Some of the key search terms we will target are: Schedule, class schedule, college courses, courses in my major, fun electives, how to make class schedule. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of innovation, we have some really fun ideas for the add\/drop page that would be entirely different than anything we\u2019ve seen on gcc.edu. Some examples would include:
1. AI generated schedules derived from preferred criteria such as major, minor, favorite activities, desired graduation time, etc.
2. Adding interactive elements to courses themselves such as student reviews, clear prerequisites, and a more in depth overview of course material.
3. Clearer catalog of every course with more filter options (ex. view all, view by time, view by professor, view by difficulty, view by amount of credit hours, view by department\/major)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This new page has infinite potential for prospective students and their parents because it is different than anything else on the college website market. Parents and students spend thousands of dollars on their education without really knowing exactly what they are going to learn. This page allows students and parents to experiment different major\/minor combinations and plan ahead for the courses they would actually be taking. Students have the ability to get excited about real courses that they will take at Grove City College and parents have peace of mind seeing exactly what their students will be learning! <\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
