An issue revolving around security and establishing a solid website creating system has been seen through the GoDaddy website. This demonstrates a Search Engine Optimization platform system for customers of all types. However, they went through a tough time when their lack of upkeep of their platform caused some outside interference of the Federal Trade Commission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the FTC, there has been a breach of security among those who were utilizing the platform GoDaddy. They had established an issue with GoDaddy when their contract and standards set to be able to run this platform full of people and companies was neglected. Much of their search engines and processes provided through the app allowed for their client content to be reachable outside of the Parmiters that they had set due to the massive increase in capacity of their platform. Their number of clients and users had grown dramatically, and they yet failed to mee the criteria to keep their users safe. They had established a breach in their “Trust center” according to the FTC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This occurred between 2019 through 2022 because this issue seemed to have been addressed. Since then, to optimize the use of safety with their customers and users, GoDaddy was encouraged and reached a settlement to provide a better safety measure to their massively growing clientele through a new security system implementation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had established an order to “Prohibit GoDaddy from making misrepresentations about its security and the extent to which it complies with any privacy or security program sponsored by a government, self-regulatory, or standard-setting organization, including the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks; Require GoDaddy to establish and implement a comprehensive information-security program that protects the security, confidentiality, and integrity of its website-hosting services; and Mandate that GoDaddy hire an independent third-party assessor who conducts an initial and biennial review of its information security program,” according to an article revolving around this issue with the FTC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, this issue arises due to the lack of upkeep within their system, this is key to a well-functioning SEO process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
