So how are we supposed to go about this in SEO?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking advice from this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.localvisibilitysystem.com\/2013\/11\/04\/the-one-truth-about-local-seo-i-wish-everyone-understood\/\">https:\/\/www.localvisibilitysystem.com\/2013\/11\/04\/the-one-truth-about-local-seo-i-wish-everyone-understood\/<\/a> here is what I found:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>You<\/em>\u00a0can\u2019t define what \u201clocal\u201d is, in terms of where you rank.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The local\u201d algorithm looks at 3 overarching factors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>relevance<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>prominence<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>distance<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your \u201crelevance\u201d depends on things like which business categories you\u2019ve chosen for your Google listing and your citations, and how much info your site has on your specific services, and that your \u201cprominence\u201d depends on your\u00a0citation, reviews and (in some cases) links.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can\u2019t fool Google as to what city you\u2019re in.\u00a0 For instance, don\u2019t put your \u201ctarget\u201d city in the address field on your Google listing if that\u2019s not the city you\u2019re technically located in. As the density of local competitors increases, the amount of \u201cmap\u201d you\u2019re visible in decreases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Make sure Google\u00a0<em>understands<\/em>\u00a0your \u201cdistance\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 that is, exactly where your business is located.\u00a0 You may not like the maximum amount of local turf Google gives you, but at least make sure they have enough information to give you some turf.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am creating a website for a &#8220;local&#8221; farmer&#8217;s market, but what exactly does that mean?
