If you’re new to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) or have been doing it awhile, it is always good to go back to the basics and remember who your writing for. The fundamental key to gaining traffic before you focus on the details is remembering who you are writing for and writing for the users instead of the search engine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Make your pages primarily for users, not search engines. Search engines attempt to emulate human beings. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Don’t deceive your users. The search engine will pick up on this and lower your ranking immediately. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Avoid tricks that intend to improve search engine rankings. A good trick is to ask yourself “does this help my users?” and would you do it if search engines didn’t exist? <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Think about the things that make your website valuable and unique or engaging. Strive to make your website different and play on your topical source. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
