How do you optimize SEO for social media?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Does SEO Look Like on Social Media?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Keywords are important for both websites and social media posts\/accounts. Although we may not think about it, effective influencers utilize the right keywords to their advantage in almost every aspect of their post. If they use the wrong ones, the algorithm looks the other way and their post is lost in the sea of micro-influencers. Keywords appear in captions, bios, image alt text, video transcripts, in videos, hashtags and comments. Even though it&#8217;s nothing new, more and more people have realized how helpful it is and have started to work on it. In this blog post, I&#8217;m going to focus on Instagram, but other social media platforms like TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and Facebook also benefit from this and are arguably more ahead of the curve than Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generations Z and Alpha frequently get the answers to their questions from social media and ChatGPT, even though those aren&#8217;t the most reliable sources. Therefore, it makes sense to cultivate content in a way that will reach the largest audience on such a popular platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3 Unorthodox Ways to Refine SEO On Social Media (Instagram)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Normally one thinks about alt text in terms of blog posts or articles, but it also counts for a lot on social media. A business attempting to clean up shop in that area may choose to refine their image file names and use alt text more intentionally on such a visual platform. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By using tools like Google Trends, it can be easier to pinpoint what will spike and begin posting on social media ahead of time as part of your SEO strategy. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Another option would be to include links in bios, which actually works in tandem with website SEO strategies. It&#8217;s just another way to drive people to your off-platform content, which may be what you want all along. Of course, make sure your name, contact information, and summary mirror what you have on other platforms (like a website) so that there&#8217;s no conflicting information that could damage your SEO strategy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The algorithm is picky and shifts from day-to-day. The best strategy I can think of is to pick those pillars of content and stick with them.
