The company behind it is small, operated by two people. As such, it seems appropriate to know the ins and outs of ecommerce SEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1: Keyword research<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As with any SEO, you should start with keyword research. Once you know your target audience, start brainstorming keywords geared towards your target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: Implement On-page SEO Tactics<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With ecommerce SEO, optimizing product detail and product listing pages is crucial. Create informative page titles and meta descriptions for each page. Meta descriptions should provide a brief overview of the product and entice users to click your link to view more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3: Focus on Content Marketing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Search engines favor authoritative and regularly updated websites. As such, you should not solely focus on developing your product pages. Instead, you should create complimentary content such as blog posts, how-to guides, and FAQ pages to improve visibility and reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 4: Pay Attention to Technical SEO<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Technical SEO is important as well. You should design a structure for your website that makes sense. Use a robots.txt file to tell search engines what pages they can crawl. Tags can help categorize content on your website for search engines. Additionally, you may use schema markups to provide more useful metadata for categorizing your products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 5: Ensure Fast Load Times and Site Speed<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p> Speed is everything. If customers are waiting too long for your site to load, they will look somewhere else. There are several ways to reduce page loading times, the best way is to optimize images. As an ecommerce business, you will likely have loads of product images on your site. Try compressing images and using efficient image formats such as webp. Additionally, you can implement \u201clazy loading\u201d for images so that they only load as the customer scrolls down the page.
