The rise of this new tool is also because of the increased use of virtual assistants and voice search. As Google and Microsoft continue to battle, companies will have to pay for both search engine results and Answer engines, such as ChatGPT. AEO should not be viewed as a rival to SEO, rather a help. SEO has become more sophisticated over time, it is no longer acceptible to cram a bunch of keywords into a site. Instead the algorithm rewards sites with high-quality, relevant content. This is where AEO steps in.
