Every sale that happens offers a teaching point to better off your sales skill. Even when a purchase falls through it can provide the seller with an area to grow. A good place to see real life sales is in different movies. Although these sales in movies aren\u2019t exactly true to actual sales out in the real world, they still can provide insight and ideas to help the seller.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One movie that shows the brilliance of sellers is the movie <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Air. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The premise of this movie is how Nike was able to sign Michael Jordan to a lucrative shoe deal. The movie takes place in 1984, and at that time Nike was struggling to make sales. The marketing team was looking for opportunities to make new and exciting shoes that would increase the sales. In their research they were looking for newly drafted players to get a shoe deal. One player that they thought to have a lot of potential was Michael Jordan. This wasn\u2019t the easiest shoe deal in the world. Nike did not have the most money and brands like Converse and Adidas held more value. In order to make the deal, the head of Nike had to create benefits for the customer. To make the deal more desirable to Michael Jordan, Nike created his own shoe and offered to pay for fines for having too much color in the shoe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another movie with a memorable sales scene is from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tommy Boy. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main character Tommy Callahan takes over his dads company but he is a less than sufficient salesman. At first he couldn\u2019t sell anything but once he was calm, cool, and collected then he was able to start selling brake pads.
