Before getting into the business side of things, we just sat and shot the breeze for a minute. He reminisced about his old days at Grove City, and I got to fill him in on what has changed. This created a connection for us, which really helped the business process.<\/p>\n<p>The thing I want to mention more or less is the importance of these connections. I understand that not every opportunity allows for someone to take the time to relate and connect with the person, but often, listening to someone&#8217;s pain (attuning) will allow you to find something that you can connect on. You&#8217;ll find that connections &#8211; networking &#8211; are priceless in the busines world. These connections, like the goal of selling, can be mutually beneficial &#8211; and they ought to be.
