If you have watched the film, you know that Brad Pitt takes an Oakland Athletics team with the worst baseball budget and turns them around using a revolutionary strategy. In the clip above, you can see Jonah Hill explaining and pitching his data-driven strategy. This is an example of non-sales selling. Jonah Hill is not selling a product but selling Brad Pitt on the credibility of his idea.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This video is an example of a good sales pitch. There are two things I like about how Hill sells his strategy. While he is not a regular salesman, he is honest and believes in his product. He is calm and collected as he tells this to Brad Pitt, who is in danger of losing his job. This is an example of non-sales selling. I think one thing that helps Jonah Hill\u2019s character is his credibility. He has a degree from Yale and has already landed a pretty impressive job.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is not the only place in the movie where non-sales sell. Pitt does a good job of negotiating to sign players, which is not technically a sale but a negotiation. He is selling his team to players. Pitt must convince players to sign with the A\u2019s for cheap and get ownership to give them more money to work worth. He learns and expresses that there is a balance between what others want and what you can provide in persuasion. He can convince ownership to sign some players because he finds value where others do not.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I liked seeing examples of sales in Moneyball because it shows sales principles in everyday life.
