When you first hear the customers name, repeat it back to them as a question &#8211; This can be useful in several ways. \u00a0Repeating the customers name will help you to remember it. \u00a0It will also allow you to make sure you are talking to the correct person as it gives you a second to think. \u00a0Lastly, everyone loves hearing their name. \u00a0Repeating the customers name back to them gives the customer a sense of pride and importance.<\/p>\n<p>2). Comment about the customers state &#8211; This may seem a bit obvious but it can help to be a conversation starter. \u00a0For sales positions where you are making phone calls all around the country, this can help to build a relationship. \u00a0It shows the customer that you see them as more than a customer. \u00a0You took the time to pay attention to where the customer lives and you genuinely care about them. \u00a0You are not just a sales robot.<\/p>\n<p>3).
