More specifically, Job Machine gets clients that\u00a0 are schools that teach veterans tech and IT skills. Then the platform utilizes a bunch of systems to help each candidate find a job that suits them well. Through my time at Job Machine, I have developed a lot of skills that I believe translate well to sales. A large portion of my job is to help our candidates find a job and offer any help and encouragement and optimization to ensure they get a job. I have talked to hundreds of different people that are all trying to find a job in a difficult market, and I need to figure out how to help them. I noticed that if I would be too energetic, that could annoy the people that I was calling, once I relaxed my tone, people would trust me more and open up. I would also look at which interviews people had coming up and what they had in the past, so I knew about the candidate before reaching out to them. I would end up calling over 100 people in a day, hoping that some of them would pick up and give me an update. There would sometimes be hours where nobody would pick up the phone, which definitely happens in the sales world. I also learned that so much of what I had to do to be successful was by asking the right questions and actually listening to the person that I am trying to help, and through this I would be helped too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Over the past few months, I have had the opportunity to work at a company called Job Machine.
