For my second blog post I looked at an article talking about H&M <\/span>their <\/span>black Friday<\/span> disappointment and why it happened. <\/span>The quarter was a percentage lower than what was expected for the <\/span>company,<\/span> leaving investors disappointed<\/span>. Since the clothing industry is such a <\/span>competitive<\/span> market H&M <\/span>now has<\/span> put a lot of money into their marketing and <\/span>trying<\/span> to bring in new and trendy fashion<\/span>, this is all to regain market share. <\/span>H&M usually focuses on lower-cost fashion, but now because of business they are going<\/span> to offer prices at <\/span>various different<\/span> prices <\/span>and<\/span> bring their manufacturing closer to home.<\/span> A<\/span> lot of people have a strong distaste for <\/span>H&M s<\/span>ince the prices are so low correlating to people <\/span>believing that <\/span>their clothes are made cheaply; which they usually are. I have always loved shopping at H&M since<\/span> they are <\/span>cheap,<\/span> and fashion is now <\/span>quickly<\/span> in style then just as <\/span>quickly<\/span> out of style so why spend a ton of money on <\/span>clothes.<\/span> However,<\/span> I <\/span>believe<\/span> that online shopping has really taken over <\/span>stores<\/span> like H&M and Forever 21<\/span> because <\/span>Shein<\/span> is so cheap and a lot more <\/span>convenient<\/span> for people rather than getting up and going to the store, <\/span>Shein<\/span> also tends to be less expensive. <\/span>I think it<\/span> is <\/span>a good idea<\/span> for H&M to <\/span>have clothes that are a bit more expensive and higher quality <\/span>because<\/span> of <\/span>Shein<\/span>. <\/span>I think it<\/span> is smart to recognize the <\/span>competition<\/span> and how the game is <\/span>changing<\/span> even <\/span>though<\/span> they did not reference <\/span>Shein<\/span> specifically in the article, it is the truth and something they always need to be watching. <\/span>Overall,<\/span> the company has realized to stay in the game there are a lot of changes that they need to make. <\/span><\/span>Chief Executive\u00a0Daniel <\/span>Erver<\/span> thinks that these changes are for the best and that the company is moving in the right direction<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
