For years I have held to the notion that Chick-Fil-A serves the best fast-food chicken on the market. I do not consider myself a connoisseur, but I have had chicken from several notable establishments, including Raising Cane’s, Popeyes, KFC, and Wingstop, among others. Recently, my idea that Chick-Fil-A was the best was put to the test when me and my friends started constructing tier lists of the best fast-food restaurants. I contended unwaveringly that Chick-Fil-A was the best of any chicken place and was challenged on this. This challenge made me think about why it was the best.<\/p>\n
I started to think through it. Was their chicken the crispiest? No. Was it the juiciest? No. Did it have the best flavor? No. Though Chick-Fil-A ranked near the top in all categories we came up with, it was not notably better than any of the other chicken. So why did I still cling to the idea that Chick-Fil-A was the best?<\/p>\n
That’s when it clicked. I valued Chick-Fil-A above everywhere else for the service they offered. Their food is very good, but not better than other similar restaurants. However, Chick-Fil-A’s staff is always friendly, bathrooms are always clean, and there is always a peaceful and happy atmosphere. I cannot say that the other places held the same standards in my visits.<\/p>\n
This is a very important aspect of sales. People are not always paying solely for a product, but also for the experience that comes along with buying the product. This is a good lesson, especially for businesses who hope to gain repeat customers. It is still good to strive for selling a good product, but your product does not necessarily have to be the best if you offer an experience. The more the customers feel connected to the buying process, the more they will build a relationship with the brand, leading to increased future sales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
