Last November me and my friend were hanging out with two girls on a double date- a hangout kind of situation. Here\u2019s the issue though while my friend was interested in the girl that he was with, I was not. Later that night, she was talking to me when I realized something, she was trying to sell herself to me. After realizing that she was putting a decent amount of effort, I knew I had to tell her no. Here is something crucial, when you reject anyone in any kind of sales situation, whether it be in business or a relationship kind of thing, you must not be too strong or aggressive on your \u201cno.\u201d If I said no too quickly or too aggressively, then I could\u2019ve looked like a \u2018bad guy\u2019 not just to her but also to her friends. And since my friend was talking to her friend, I couldn\u2019t do that. In business the same thing exists where you must remember that people are more interconnected than you might think. Therefore, what I did was that over around 5-10 minutes I \u2018softly\u2019 told her that I was not interested, and the result was that we both left the situation, not too hurt and not too awkward, and although she definitely did not like me that night, I wasn\u2019t a bad guy. Something that I think this helps to teach is that we must remember that things that are applicable to the business world, are also related to the relational world in general.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
