Opportunity arose. There was a big snow day. This excited me not just because of the snow sledding, snow angels, and snowmen I would be making, but I also hoped to make some money shoveling sidewalks. I actually walked door to door and asked every house if they would pay me to shovel their walk. Sometime I&#8217;m amazed that I had such courage at that age, or maybe I didn&#8217;t have enough social awareness to be afraid. But I walked around for most of the day, shoveled a few walks, and barely made any money. Some of them I did in exchange for cookies. Ambition is essential. Sales are great. But you need to know how to price yourself.
