While all of the work up to that point is important, it is irrelevant if you aren&#8217;t able to actually close the deal. Warren Buffett offers a fresh perspective on what it means to be a salesperson and how to follow through and close a deal. As an investment of time, you should always be looking for the greatest return on your investment. In other words, don&#8217;t waste your time or energy on a deal that isn&#8217;t going to yield the greatest return. Going big is able to give you insight into opportunities that change your perspective on your entire business and marketplace, and by doing so you grow faster and get better at all transactions. Often times, it is easy to get caught up in the idea of quantity rather than quality. Even though you could make lots of deals, choose the ones that will give you the best opportunities for success. One of my favorite quotes from Buffett is &#8220;bad deals at good prices are still bad deals.&#8221; As a salesperson, it is important to keep that in perspective and make sure that you are making &#8220;good&#8221; deals and not just making them to make a deal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Often times, closing a deal is one of the most difficult parts of being a salesperson.
