{"id":2000,"date":"2016-03-14T00:52:30","date_gmt":"2016-03-14T00:52:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gccwebsites.com\/startupsales\/?p=2000"},"modified":"2016-03-14T00:52:30","modified_gmt":"2016-03-14T00:52:30","slug":"the-communicationsocial-styles-model","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gccwebsites.com\/startupsales\/the-communicationsocial-styles-model\/","title":{"rendered":"The communication\/social styles model"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From my Sales class with Dr. Kocur last\u00a0semester, I learned about sociability and dominance within people and how to approach them from\u00a0a salesman&#8217;s\u00a0perspective.<\/p>\n<p>Having\u00a0low dominance means you are more\u00a0cooperative and let others control things.\u00a0High dominance is\u00a0associated with\u00a0feeling the need to control everything and being aggressive.\u00a0High sociability is associated with being an extrovert and seeking out\u00a0interactions with others, while those with low sociability like to work alone and are more reserved.<\/p>\n<p>There are four main communication styles \u00a0or social styles found today.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Low sociability, low dominance\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Analytical.<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>More focused on the facts<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Low soc, high dominance\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Driver\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>More demanding<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>High soc, low dominance\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Amiable<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Loves to work with others, doesn\u2019t mind others ruling<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>High soc, high dominance\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Expressive<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Likes social interaction as long as they are in control<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Understanding these 4 social models is huge in sales.
