{"id":2013,"date":"2016-03-14T14:08:53","date_gmt":"2016-03-14T14:08:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gccwebsites.com\/startupsales\/?p=2013"},"modified":"2016-03-14T14:08:53","modified_gmt":"2016-03-14T14:08:53","slug":"billy-mays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gccwebsites.com\/startupsales\/billy-mays\/","title":{"rendered":"Billy Mays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When I think of the term &#8220;salesman,&#8221; one of the first images in my mind is a picture of Billy Mays. \u00a0I remember growing up as a little kid and watching television. \u00a0Sometimes as I was watching television, I remember seeing an energetic, bearded guy that talked about household and garden products such as\u00a0Fix-it, <a title=\"OxiClean\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/OxiClean\">OxiClean<\/a>, Orange Glo, Kaboom and many more things that a young boy should not be interested in. \u00a0However I remember telling my dad after watching some Billy Mays infomercials that we should buy OxiClean so we can clean stuff around the house. \u00a0It takes a good salesman to sell a cleaning product to a little kid that doesn&#8217;t clean things.<\/p>\n<p>Billy Mays was an incredibly successful infomercial salesman selling over 40 products on television during his career.
