{"id":2406,"date":"2016-05-09T23:47:56","date_gmt":"2016-05-09T23:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gccwebsites.com\/startupsales\/?p=2406"},"modified":"2016-05-09T23:47:56","modified_gmt":"2016-05-09T23:47:56","slug":"the-5-ps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gccwebsites.com\/startupsales\/the-5-ps\/","title":{"rendered":"The 5 &#8220;P&#8217;s&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I very much appreciated when Mr. VanErden spoke in class the other day.\u00a0 His &#8220;5 P&#8217;s&#8221; are especially insightful and really stuck with me.<\/p>\n<p>The 5 P&#8217;s to remember in sales are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Precision &#8211; be able to explain what you are offering better than anyone else<\/li>\n<li>Problem &#8211; understand the problem you&#8217;re trying to address<\/li>\n<li>Persistence &#8211; In the end, all great ideas generate into work<\/li>\n<li>Predisposition &#8211; how we carry ourselves with other people<\/li>\n<li>Purpose &#8211; carry in a contagious way, a higher sense of purpose<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>By doing these 5 things, you are approaching sales in the right way.\u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t mean you will always close a deal, but it does mean that you will be working hard and carrying yourself with honor and integrity throughout the sales process.\u00a0 How we carry ourselves with other people (#4) relates back to when we talked about the positive and negative thinking of a salesman.\u00a0 It is important to express positivity throughout a sales process &#8211; not only during, but after as well.\u00a0 Other people will notice this genuine approach to life and be drawn to the idea of doing business with a positive and genuine salesperson.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I very much appreciated when Mr. VanErden spoke in class the other day.\u00a0 His &#8220;5 P&#8217;s&#8221; are especially insightful and really stuck with me.
