Not to mention that you&#8217;ll be changing and evolving your sales pitch and method.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Have a great desire to make a difference<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you can make a difference in someone&#8217;s life or job, you&#8217;ll be the best sales-person ever, the trick is being able to communicate that you can make a difference. But having that initial desire is a great way to come across as approachable and genuine.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Try not to sell&#8211;just be helpful<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This kind of relates to the previous point, but I think has an added emphasis on the &#8220;share, don&#8217;t push&#8221; point we made in class.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be careful to connect with the right people<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This, we spoke about in class several weeks ago. When you talk to a potential customer, you&#8217;re trying to sell them on your product as much as they&#8217;re trying to sell you as a client. If you don&#8217;t connect to the right people, your sales wont flourish and you&#8217;ll just be wasting a lot of effort.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Differentiate from the rest of the group<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There is nothing bigger in business then differentiation. If you&#8217;re not distinct from Competitor Joe down the street, your customer isn&#8217;t going to remember you. If all the pitches blend together, they&#8217;ll remember the first pitch, and the last pitch. Be the best pitch so they CANT forget you.<\/p>\n<p>Bonus!<\/p>\n<p>6. Tell a great story<\/p>\n<p>I really liked this one because stories are what stick in people&#8217;s heads. Its even a studying technique!
