They were saying most of my day would be on the phone and that there will be times you hate the job. They kept asking, &#8220;Is this were you saw yourself after graduating?&#8221; They would bring up the hours, locations, prospecting, and dealing with people being rude, and I kept thinking about Sandlers Rule #7.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Sandler Rule #7<\/em>: You never have to life prospecting, you just have to do it.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>focus on the end result\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>prospecting is a selection process\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>cast your net\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gccwebsites.com\/startupsales\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/calls.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4650 aligncenter lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/gccwebsites.com\/startupsales\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/calls.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"183\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 276px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 276\/183;\" \/><\/a>When I brought up David Mattsons book, they nodded in agreement. It was stressed that it was a needed part of the job and that you just had to keep going, even when you want to call it day.
