However, an idea that many don\u2019t\nthink about is the support structure behind the salesperson, and that is the\nsales manager\/director. The people in these positions are instrumental in\nbuilding up the sales team and providing solid leadership for their teammates\nto operate under. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Set the vision<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaders need to not only seek out talent on a team, but also\nneed to set the vision and goals to get the representatives to fully operate.\nAlong with this, they also need to optimize the talents of their team members\nto fully accomplish their goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Offer Opportunities <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Team members need to be able to fully participate and \u201cflex\u201d\ntheir abilities. Having members wrapped up in strict job descriptions doing\nmundane tasks kills creativity and drive, which are imperative for a member of\nany sales team to have. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keep the Team in Mind\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everything should be done with a team-focused attitude, not\nindividuals.
