It\u2019s an excellent networking skill that is\nwell worth the time and effort to craft and perfect your pitch. At times, the\nexamples we learned in class can seem a bit daunting. Starting small and\ncreating your own pitch should incorporate the following things (from my\nexperience): <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who You Are<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Introduce yourself and a quick blurb about what you do (or\nwhat you want to do). This is one of the easiest conversation starters to start\noff with and is usually a safe bet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Company and Position\ninfo <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What does the company do that you work for? What do you do\nfor that company? Think outside of your typical job description for the latter\noption on this one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What can you do for\nthem? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Identify the need that you can potentially fulfill for the\nperson you\u2019re conversing with.
