Over time, I\u2019ve\npicked up on a few traits that lead to leaving a better voicemail that I\u2019d like\nto share: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keep Things Short <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s nothing worse than seeing your iPhone transcribe a really\nlong message and it seems like you\u2019re reading a novel. Keep things short so\npeople can easily take everything in that you\u2019re saying, along with keeping things\nconcise and relevant. State why you\u2019re calling, what you would like from them,\nand potentially your availability to set something up in the near future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Personalize it More\nthan an Email <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A phone call is much more personal than an email. Think of\nhow quickly you can write something up and click send. This is your voice on one\nend of the phone. Do your research on the person your calling and pose a more\npersonalized question that you wouldn\u2019t typically ask in an email. By doing so,\nyou\u2019re more likely to get a response. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>End with your Phone\nNumber <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside serving as a signal to wrap up the call, it shows\nthe listener that they should call you back.
