Earlier in the semester, Professor Sweet went around the class and asked us if we have ever sold anything or are currently selling things.\u00a0 When it got to me I said I sell my old clothes on Poshmark. At the time I didn’t think much about it…I mean really all I do is take pictures of clothes and then upload them to my page so people can buy them. Totally not a big deal and just a side way to make money.<\/p>\n

As this class has gone on though, I’ve realized that selling used clothes on Poshmark is more than that.\u00a0 There’s a lot that goes into selling on this site.\u00a0 First you have to take APPEALING pictures of your clothing.\u00a0 If an unappealing\/unprofessional looking picture is posted, no one wants to look at the article of clothing because they automatically think it is bad quality.\u00a0 After the pictures are taken, the seller must write about whatever they are selling.\u00a0 Most of the time, if someone doesn’t put a description or writes very little, the buyer becomes skeptical that something is wrong, so adding a good, detailed description is key!<\/p>\n

To me, selling on Poshmark comes right down to trust.\u00a0 If a buyer sees that the pictures are clean, shows all angles of the clothing, and has a detailed description, they TRUST the seller that their product is good enough to buy.\u00a0 Just as Professor Sweet has talked about this whole semester, selling is about trusting, and Poshmark does a great job of practicing that.<\/p>\n
