I Made Art. Now What?
Do you have a finished zentangle? What will you do with your art? After creating something beautiful what do you do with it? There are three different steps you could take after an art piece is finished, all of which are strong and reasonable routes to take no matter the artist.
Keep
When you keep your art, you collect a concrete portfolio of what you can do. You do not have to keep all of your art, but as long as you keep some (maybe your favorite pieces) you will have references to go off of in the future. Keeping your art is also a great way to showcase your talent to others who are interested in the art. Over time, you will grow your collection of your art, and you can observe the differences in how your styles have changed and evolved. It is a great way to track your progress. It is also helpful to have your previous art by your side, that way you can look back on it for inspiration if needed.
Give
A gift from someone you love is always a sweet sentiment. Think of how much better a personalized gift would mean to you if someone spent hours on creating something for you. A simple art piece to you, might mean the world to someone else. People see art differently, so even if you create a piece, you believe is just okay, others will see it and be overcome with awe. Giving homemade gifts is a kind way to show your love for others.
Sell
Why not make money off of your hard work? Who wouldn’t love being paid for doing something they enjoy? What if art becomes your new hobby, and you decide that you want to make it a business, there is a way to make money off of having fun. Selling your art is a great way to learn business and to make money off of your hard work.
