When talking about search engine optimization, beginners like myself seem to learn first about what company really is in charge of it, in this case Google is the search platform that we all use in order to start a new website, search new topics, and even get an insight of what is going on around the world. SEO is basically a tool that all websites should use, if we want Google to highly rate our website for example, then following the SEO guidelines is important for that to happen. But what is SEO when it comes to marketing? SEO in marketing really is the same thing, it is the practice of maximizing your results in order to rank higher on a search page, ultimately it is to help bring more traffic to your website so that people know who you are and what you do. As I have said, the main search engine that we all are guilty of using is Google, SEO mainly focuses on Google because they are the dominant search engine around the world. It is said that Google dominates 92% of all search engine markets.

I am a Marketing major and wanted to see how SEO fit into the marketing landscape, great use of making the simple understanding of the two. Very similar in terms of the main end goal, especially since Google dominates the market.
I liked that this was concisely informative. All the information included was practical and connected well to the overall discussion of SEO. I like how you mentioned that the connection between SEO and Marketing is so simple by showing what it is, why we (marketers) do it, and the results companies receive by performing its functions appropriately. Well done!
This is a very practical blog post. It provides a lot of foundational information that makes a big difference in understanding SEO.
