With the recent introduction of ChatGPT, many are saying that this is the thing to finally replace Google. But others are saying that’s not so likely. The author of the attached article, Mindy. Goes into what the implications of ChatGPT might be. And one of the big things that she points out is that due to the “technology acceptance theory”, adoption will be slow. Morgan Stanley then points out that for ChatGPT to disrupt Google it needs to provide something 10 times as valuable as Google. Given that you have to use Google to access ChatGPT, is proof that Google is still far more relevant.
However, ChatGPT does have the promise of helping to make it easier to complete mundane and routine tasks associated with SEO, such as organizing topics and keywords, determining frequently asked questions, sorting data, and creating meta descriptions. What ChatGPT cannot yet do for SEO is create strategy, which still requires human touch.
Mindy then goes on to show examples of how it can be used to for example to create SEO page titles. They are not perfect, but they are decent enough to provide a solid starting point. Perhaps right now ChatGPT is good for getting ideas started. But each day it gets smarter and smarter. Making it something defiantly worth checking up on from time to time.

Amazing to learn more on how ChatGBT is taking over but I definitely agree that it will take longer than we think for them to replace google. Google has built such a brand even DuckDuckGo has been competing but has found only certain people will convert to their search as opposed to google.
Interesting post and article. It is exceptionally ironic that the same people who are saying that Chat GPT will overtake Google are the same people who are using Google to push forth that headline and even access Chat GPT. There is a point to be made that AI tech is increasingly helpful, however, one must remember that the tech is useless without a human’s input telling it what to achieve. Overall, great post.
