Volume refers to the monthly search volume or MSV which is the number of times the keyword is search per month across all audiences.
The first research step to look at is marketing trends. Looking at the current trends in marketing can help you find relevant topics an key words that your audience is looking for. Making sure you choose relevant words will help bring visitors to your site and business.
Next, is traffic growth. Once you pick the keywords that best fit your site and business, your site should appear when your target audience searches them. The higher you appear in the search means you will attract for traffic.
SEO is an ever changing space, but the basics never change. Keyword research will always be important to creating a successful website.

This is a very helpful SEO article. I didn’t know that MSV stood for monthly search volume before reading this. I think it’s important that you mentioned that your site must be marked authoritative on Google, or even if you have good keywords, your site will not appear. Great post!
