ChatGPT Clone: Dolly

Open Source Artificial Intelligence announced a new tool called Dolly, which serves as a ChatGPT clone. This AI, officially called “Dolly Large Language Model (DLL),” was created by the Databricks enterprise software company. The origin behind the name Dolly is derived from the famous sheep named Dolly, which was the first cloned mammal.

This open source AI has been expanding continued access to the technology as a means to avoid industry monopolization by corporate America. Dolly specifically was created from an open source model manufactured by the non-profit EleutherAI research institute and the Stanford University Alpaca model. The major significance with Dolly is that large language models can be structured with a rather small, yet, high quality dataset. Another main benefit is that Dolly is expected to democratize AI and increase accessibility to the movement.

I remember hearing how we cloned an animal and never believed it. Someone showed me about this recently and i could not believe it. Now its crazy to think of things we have more specifically ChatGPT and how it can do almost anything you ask it to. Great find!
