Focus on building high-quality backlinks from relevant and authoritative websites in your industry.

I think it’s really interesting that mobile optimization is still not given as significant of an emphasis as you’d assume it would. With the vast majority of consumers using mobile devices, I would argue that this is one of the most important areas SEO professionals should focus on getting right. One reason in particular being the traffic volume that would bring more clicks and exposure to your company website.

Business owners not only should look at the good side of SEO, but they also should be looking at what to avoid. These are all important things to avoid if a business owner is wanting to grow their company.

This is a great post! I will keep these things in mind when I am working on my website, I think you had some really great ideas and reminders. I think the two biggest things you should avoid are the keyword stuffing and black hat SEO. I have been on websites that are cluttered with keywords and it just makes it hard to read and gain anything from the site, they are not trying to help you resolve your problem, they just want to appear higher on the SERP. For obvious reasons, black hat SEO is not something to get involved in due to the potential legal implications.
