Google Analytics in SEO

Google analytics is a great tool that tracks how much traffic your site gets, and the success of converting those users to clients. It is also now free to use, which makes it a usable tool for any business. There is plenty of data about sites that can be pulled by this tool. Site owners can track the top performing pages on their site. They can also use the Drilldown tool to analyze page views and clicks on non-sales pages. They can view the multi-Channel funnel to determine when SEO was indirectly used to create conversion. Site owners can also calculate “halo traffic” that results from long-tail keywords containing keywords. You can also set up alerts when certain interactions or changes occur with the pages or data results. You can also determine what form of device users are utilizing to find your site. These are just some of the ways Google Analytics can be utilized. If used correctly and consistently, it is a tool that can illustrate significant information on a site’s traffic.

I have no plan of making my own business but optimizing a website is a huge step for companies. I never knew so much went into analyzing websites with traffic, click through rate, conversions, etc. It is definitely more than a useful tool to see how to best optimize any type of website.
