Why Should You Implement Structured Data?

Structured data is data which is a standardized and organized way to provide information about a web page. It helps search engines better understand what your content is about. But how does it help your SEO? While there are many benefits of structured data, we will discuss four important ones.

  1. Get Rich Results

Rich results are visually-enhanced search results with information pulled from relevant structured data. These can often increas clickthrough rates and organic traffic to your pages.

  2. Get into Google’s Knowledge Graph

Google’s Knowledge Graph is a knowledge-base of entities and the relationships between them. You, your brand, and your products can all become entities that are established and influenced by structured data. The most direct implication of getting into the Knowledge Graph is having a Knowledge Panel that provides more brand visibility and authority.

3. Support semantic search

Semantic search focuses on the meaning behind search queries instead of traditional keyword matching. It’s how Google manages to return perfect results when you search for something vague. Because structured data helps Google to better understand what your pages are about, it may help them show up for more relevant search queries.

4. Support your E-A-T

E-A-T stands for expertise, authoritativeness, and trust. These three things are what Google looks for in a web page. Using structured data feeds Google information about your website, its content, and its authors, and makes it easier to assess your E-A-T.

Great concept, had no idea where you were going with EAT but after reading the blog and how Google looks into it makes sense. Also I love the knowledge graph that google has and finding out a way to analyze would improve the effectiveness of your website

Having structured data is superb for SEO and I love your section about semantic search because this builds so much into other aspects of SEO besides just specific keywords and the keyword density.

Structured data plays a vital role in SEO by providing standardized information about web pages, aiding search engines in understanding content. The benefits of structured data include getting rich results that enhance clickthrough rates, appearing in Google’s Knowledge Graph for increased brand visibility and authority, supporting semantic search for more relevant results, and bolstering expertise, authoritativeness, and trust (E-A-T) signals. Utilizing structured data helps optimize SEO efforts and improve search engine visibility.
