And her current relationship with Travis Kelce has even unwillingingly caught the attention of football fans. Swift has been in the public eye for several years and every day is the subject of thousands of search queries. But have you have ever thought about how celebrities could potentially use this SEO in their favor? Here are five examples of how Taylor Swift is taking over the internet through SEO.

Taylor Swift and The Jets

Much of the general public in America has qualms about global warming. A primary contributing factor is the exhaust of aircraft including private jets. Celebrities like Taylor Swift have been criticized for their use of private jets and their contribution to carbon emissions. In October, Swift attended a New York Jets game to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce who was on the opposing team. Not only did she come to support her boyfriend but she also used it as an opportunity to optimize the attention from searches such as “Taylor Swift jet.” Instead of pointing to her use of a private jet, the SERP would show her presence at the jets game. Although this is a conspiracy theory, it would be a good strategy for Swift to leverage negative attention.

Swift has been known to utilize social media to boos engagement. She regularly posts music updates and clips on her social media to build fan excitement. This engagement further strengthens her brand and even though it does not directly have to do with keywords and SEO, it increases search volume. Fans are obsessed with what she is doing and search her name and music often.

Swift regularly updates her website to enhance its optimization and has a very consistent online presence. This builds their brand reputation and keeps fans engaged.

Although I am not a huge fan of her music, I admire Taylor Swift as a successful business woman. Her online presence is a force to be reckoned with and her staff has an excellent handle on SEO to keep up a good brand reputation. Other musicians can “take notes” from her with regards to their website and social media management.
