Common Myths of SEO (Part 1)

By understanding the many false beliefs associated with search optimization, you will be able to better prioritize the most important aspects of your own SEO strategy and avoid wasting time on unnecessary improvements.

First of all, there is no magic formula for ideal keyword density. Rather than counting the number of times a keyword is mentioned in a passage of text, you should focus on being as helpful as possible with your content. That being said, you should make sure you are not keyword stuffing, which involves using your target keyword so many times that it appears spammy.

Secondly, LSI keywords do not boost search rankings. Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is a retrieval method that evaluates the relationships between words within a set of documents in order to understand and rank the content. However, Google has announced that LSI keywords don’t actually exist, and therefore won’t affect a site’s ranking score. However, you should focus on semantics and search intent, since Google rewards useful and thorough content.

Next, you should target low-volume keywords in addition to high-volume keywords. Targeting high-volume keywords is very competitive, so it’s important to have keywords with a range of different search volumes.

Additionally, domain authority is not a ranking factor. While the authority of a domain indicates how strong and trustworthy the website is, it does not affect a site’s ranking in search. Domain authority is only relevant when considered with a variety of other factor’s, such as quality and quantity of backlinks, organic traffic, and spam indicators.

The blog has good structure. You have short paragraphs with bolded terms and you divide it by first of all, secondly, etc. You also have a good common theme of debunking common misconceptions.
