How User Experience impacts SEO

Why would optimizing a website even need to worry about the experience of the user? Because the end user of a site is the most important consideration when building a site! And if the user experience on a site is poor, their actions on the site will reflect that. But if done well, the user will continually use the site, and increased traffic could occur.

But how does this affect seo? Google and other search engines do not just look at the technical side of a site, but also how users are affected by what the site offers. If user session is long and many pages are accessed, then the ranking is increased to reflect the user experience is positive. But if sessions are short, or only one or two pages are accessed, then the ranking is decreased, since the user experience is negative.

Because of this, user experience needs to be optimized to make sure there are no hiccups in optimization. Make sure the page loading time is quick, menus are easily navigated, and the site layout is easy to follow, or else the ranking will tank and your traffic along with it.

Great post! I think that we so often forget that the user is the target, not the one making the post. It is good that Google reminds us of that by the way it rewards well made and highly functioning pages.
