3 Tips for Keywords

From Backlinko, Brian Dean wrote 3 important SEO tips for higher ranking. He emphasizes the importance of these tips and how much we need them to have a notable website. In fact, he is so confident in his tips, his site is ranked #1 if you type “best keyword research tools.”

First, he says to use keywords in the right places. If you want a page to be ranked on your website, you should incorporate your keywords on that page. Brian also suggests making sure that the keyword also appears at least once in the page’s title tag, URL, and the first 100 words of your content. He gives a few videos giving examples and how to complete these tasks.

Second, Dean suggests keeping users on your site longer. There is a new term called “Pogo Sticking”. This is when a  user goes on your site but then leaves to find something else that helps them. The issue with this is that Google gets a message and they downrank your website. So how can we make the user stay longer on your website? Brian suggests using lots of bullet points. Content should be made simple for consumers to understand, skim, and find answers or information very quickly. Furthermore, if there is organized information, people will be less likely to hit the back button and look on different sites for information.

Third, Dean suggests finding “Suggest” keywords. In fact, one can use google to find long tail keywords. You can do this by searching on a website and typing in a word related to your content. There will be google suggestions and you can use these terms and long tail keywords. Furthermore, you can also do this on other media. One could go to Wikipedia, YouTube, or other platforms for keywords.

Brian gave 15 other tips for SEO, however these were some of the most important tips for keyword research.

I like how you took Brian Dean’s words and expanded on them. Using explanatory examples to expand on his words creates a good split between valuable information and common reasoning. I also like the three tips you used. Keeping users on your site longer is essential to getting more clicks and data, and SEO isn’t just about the first click

I think Brain Dean’s advice on using bullet points to increase how long users stay on a website is very insightful. In today’s day and age, people want information quickly and easily. If they cannot get that, they move on to the next website. It is a reminder that although SEO is important, design and layout of a site also plays a big role in website traffic.
