While doing some research for building my site for our SEO project, I came across an article that was very topical to what we are doing. The article, posted on the Martech website, shows some of the best plugins for improving SEO, specifically on WordPress sites. I decided to make my 3rd post about some of the plugins that I found the most interesting and I think would be the most useful for my website.
- Yoast SEO- You have probably seen this Yoast plugin while you are making your posts for this very blog. Yoast actively works to help increase your SEO presence on your site, with a very beginner friendly UI and an easy to use “green-yellow-red” system. You’ve probably also seen those; the little smiley faces next to your edited post indicating whether you have good SEO. It’s no surprise that this plugin is at the top of the list given how simple it is and how well it works.
- Broken Link Checker– This is another simple, easy to use plugin. This plugin simply checks to see what links on your site and what backlinks from offsite work that don’t work. This plugin also allows you to more easily remove and edit links right from the editing station without having to go through all the dirty work.
- W3 Total Cache– This plugin is designed to help increase the speed of your site. From between-page loading times to onsite content load time, W3 Total Cache is a gamechanger. It works by removing clutter from your site, and allows for a better overall use experience.
These were just three plugins found in a very long list of plugins that the fine people at Martech found. Perhaps some of these plugins can be useful to you in your own site building journey.
